The real deal
Since I was 5, I was diagnosed with ADA(Adenosine Deaminase) Deficiency/ SCID (Severe Combined Immune Deficiency). Think of it as the bubble boy disease. We all know I don’t live in a bubble, let alone act like I do. At present time since last may I have been hospitalized 4 times including this time. One of those visits was a surgery to do a lung biopsy. I’ve had it tough this year, but I continue to press on and act as if my life is normal.
I decided to start blogging this because it’s time not only therapeutic for me, but a way to possibly educate and inspire others. We all fall sometimes in our lives, some more then others. Only some of us actually talk about it.
At present time I’m at Providence Holy Cross Hospital in a negative pressure room. I have an IV on my left hand and another line started on the right. I look tore up from toes up. LoL! It is what it is. I’ve been here all afternoon, first killing time in the ER. More on this tomorrow…
